Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche
Tiffany Aliche has literally saved lives. Indeed the hundreds of thousands of people that have been touched by the work of “The Budgetnista” will say she has resuscitated their financial lives with her education tools and multiple businesses. “I created The Budgetnista in the 2009 recession after realizing that so many people needed help and lacked basic understanding,” she says. With this persona, the Nigerian-American grew to become an Amazon #1 bestselling author with “The One Week Budget” and the “Live Richer Challenge” book series, where she shares personal finance guidelines that are easy to understand and implement.
It’s this business of giving that has made her one of America’s go-to financial health experts. “I help others by giving them the tools they need to make their lives better... I have helped hundreds of thousands of women. And when you help a woman, you help a child, a family, and everyone.” And although this former Pre-K teacher has officially left the classroom to focus on her thriving businesses, she is still making major moves that directly impact children. Earlier this year, Aliche helped to write the A1414 law (The Budgetnista Law), making it mandatory for middle school children to learn financial literacy in her home state of New Jersey.
“I was created to be a teacher and nothing else,” she explains, because “there is no other choice but to believe in the youth. The youth are the future through whom legacy is manifested. Their actions ripple upwards, so it is critical that we include them in our decision-making… All we do affects them and they, in turn, affect us.”
